Unfortunately, you can't always avoid driving in adverse weather conditions. Here at Johnson Auto Plaza, we know how that is. Driving in Brighton during the winter can be hazardous, but there are a few things you can do to make it safer.

1. Make sure your car is in optimal condition. Jumping a dead battery or changing a flat tire is never fun, but it's much worse in a blizzard.
2. Stock your car with essentials in case you get stuck. Depending on where you're driving, this can range from blankets to food to flares.
3. Drive as if you're on an ice skating rink. You can't always tell when the roads are icy, so go as slow as you reasonably can, brake gently, and keep a larger distance than usual between you and other cars.

Of course, when weather conditions are unsafe, stay home if you can. If not, follow these tips for a safer ride.
