Distracted driving represents a danger on the road. Momentary distractions might be more than enough to cause a collision, which is why drivers need to keep their attention where it belongs. Talking and texting, even doing so hands-free, might lead to trouble. Safe driving often involves staying focused, so why do anything that takes away from attention?

Physically doing something like eating, drinking, grooming oneself, or fidgeting with touchscreen controls may contribute to distractions. They aren't the only causes, though. Someone who drives while drowsy might lose perception and reaction time, leading to a possible accident.

Pets and even passengers could draw attention from the road and other vehicles. Keeping pets secure and not engaging in idle, unnecessary banter with passengers might be worth the added safety.

Vehicles with mechanical or maintenance troubles might also bother a driver. Why not service a vehicle at Johnson Auto Plaza if a car needs work?
