New Aug 2023 S 'rare' ha, front wheel drive! (U don't see many) Runs great. Not sure fwd is the diff, the oil use, not mine but is known by vw. Only recent issue, exhaust (ck engine) light came on. Blinking is exhaust. Solid is engine. Warranty, they repl battery, fixed! Really, good car, fun 2drive.
    • Wonderful automobile in all respects

We spent an extra $800 for a glass coat job, and it was worth every penny. The car looks brand new and has never had a dime's worth of wax. Just a little soap and water returns it to factory new condition. We live in a state which uses a lot of salt and our cars tend to rust quickly. My Tiguan is absolutely rust free due to an outstanding factory undercoating job. Zero maintenance problems, and the original tires lasted more than forty thousand miles. We love it and have absolutely no complaints. A wonderful family vehicle.
    • Car was great until deer hit it!

Overall my 2018 Tiguan was great! No recalls through Aug 2025, no major issues mechanically other than normal wear and tear, drove very smooth with good tires. I had over 160k mi on the SUV when a deer hit me from the side and above, so it was totaled by insurance this week-will miss this vehicle!
